To support the delivery of the project the following project controls services were provided during the fit out stages of the project:
- Employment of lean planning techniques.
- Reporting construction schedule progress to the client team.
- Introduction of daily team ‘planning huddles’ to encourage collaboration between the build team and the services team contractors.
- Development and application of lookahead planning regimes to improve productivity on the project.

- Construction of a consolidated laboratory facility to enable multiple scientific research groups to work together.
- Offsite award winning scheme encouraging the supply chain to further develop their offsite techniques.
- Long lasting impact on the Cambridge campus energy usage with the provision of an energy efficient facility.

- Award winning concrete design adding to the architectural diversity of the Cambridge landscape.
- Development of a facility on the scientific park connected to the Cambridge shuttle bus services.
Dispute resolution services. Scheduling support was provided to support the commercial team to resolve time-related disputes.
- A retrospective time-slice analysis was produced to support the resolution of a time-related dispute.
- The original baseline schedule had to be constructed from scratch to use for the time-slice analysis.
- Progress records and progress droplines were analysed to provide the data for input into the detailed time-slice analysis.
- Production of a detailed narrative to support the construction schedule time-slice studies.
- Presentation of the time-slice analysis to the commercial team.
- Settlement of the dispute was achieved with the support the time-slice analysis.
