To support the delivery of the project the following project controls services were provided during the fit out stages of the project:

  • Employment of lean planning techniques.
  • Reporting construction schedule progress to the client team.
  • Introduction of daily team ‘planning huddles’ to encourage collaboration between the build team and the services team contractors.
  • Development and application of lookahead planning regimes to improve productivity on the project.

Dispute resolution services. Scheduling support was provided to support the commercial team to resolve time-related disputes.

  • A retrospective time-slice analysis was produced to support the resolution of a time-related dispute.
  • The original baseline schedule had to be constructed from scratch to use for the time-slice analysis.
  • Progress records and progress droplines were analysed to provide the data for input into the detailed time-slice analysis.
  • Production of a detailed narrative to support the construction schedule time-slice studies.
  • Presentation of the time-slice analysis to the commercial team.
  • Settlement of the dispute was achieved with the support the time-slice analysis.
